NNJS convened a meeting of its members and staffs to condole the sudden demise of Founder member of Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh and Veteran Nepali litterateur Kamal Mani Dixit. During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Tirtha Prasad Mishra, Chairman of NNJS expressed his sadness, offered condolence calling Kamal Mani Dixit death as "an irrepairable loss" for eye care program of Nepal. NNJS Central Office was closed on 10th January 2017 to mourn the demise of Kamal Mani Dixit.
